'Magnolia' follows 24 hours in which two dying men attempt to be re-united with their estranged, pathetic, children. The film develops the inter-relation of characters and through a series of events it depicts the loneliness of some lives, the need for putting things right, and what an exploitative and shallow city LA can be.
