Synopsis

A classic coming-of-age story set during the Civil War, Little Women follows the childhood adventures of the four free-spirited March sisters: beautiful Meg (Trini Alvarado), fragile Beth (Claire Danes), romantic Amy (Kirsten Dunst & Samantha Mathis), and impetuous Jo (Winona Ryder) who is determined to defy social conventions by seeking her fame and fortune as a writer. All four sisters are en compassed by the love of their caring Marimba (Susan Sarandon). This enduring story unwraps a gift of humour and heartfelt emotions as it follows the sisters' turbulent romances and their lasting friendships in the enchanting years between girlhood and womanhood.
