Dumbo remains one of Disney's greatest animated treasures - a heart-warming and inspiring tale, overflowing with charm and memorable songs. When a slow stork finally delivers Mrs. Jumbo's pint-sized baby elephant, he's the talk of the circus. But with a pair of oversized ears, baby Dumbo is laughed at and ridiculed. With remarkable courage and the help of his loyal friend Timothy Mouse, Dumbo overcomes all odds in a triumphant celebration of love and determination!

The triumph of the little one that was different to the others
Mark Banks (United Kingdom)
Opinion: Recommended
Disney's Dumbo brings together a good blend of art, entertainment, humour and story-telling in one fine feature animation with a good moral at its heart. Of the few Disney films I've watched recently Dumbo comes out on top in the humour stakes; the balancing elephants, the shaped bubble blowing, the mouse talking to the ring master in his sleep, as well as a good few other scenes all had me chuckling away to myself. I also liked it that the crows came out as overall good guys by the end, though their continued joking and jive-talking does taint this film a little for me. Also, what was up with the psychedelic trippy dancing elephants, camels etc? I'm not too sure about that one! Overall Dumbo gets my recommendation, most of all for its strong messages of friendship and accepting and overcoming our personal differences to triumph nonetheless.
