Offbeat gangster drama stars Edward G. Robinson as an ex-mob boss who is double-crossed by former lieutenant Humphrey Bogart. Wounded while escaping, Robinson is taken in by the members of a remote monastery and finds the peace he sought in the outside world, until circumstances force him to confront Bogart one last time.
