  Arctic Imitation
  Mark Banks (United Kingdom)
  Opinion: Limited Recommendation
I wasn't enamoured with Arctic Tale, to me it had all the hallmarks of a production company that had set out to imitate the success and formula of the likes of The March of the Penguins, Winged Migration etc. yet failed to include the two vital ingredients of originality and humour. Though competent, Queen Latifah's narration did little to promote the few merits of this documentary, and there was also a strange last minute addition of global warming issues in a vain attempt to raise the credibility of the production. For dedicated arctic wildlife fans or children that are simply keen to learn there may be something this documentary can offer, but for the masses it offers little new and would be best skipped over for one of the previously mentioned substitutes.
